Great Ski Homebase!
We spent 4 nights in this charming mountain condo and enjoyed every moment. Mother Nature cooperated making the ski days perfect. We loved working with Mountain Resorts as they were welcoming and so hospitable. The condo itself is quite cozy while sleeping four, I think it’s perfect for two. The kitchen is efficient and had most of what we needed. Be advised that the only pantry items are salt & pepper and sugar packets for coffee as well as filters. Other staples such as basic condiments and paper products like foil need to be purchased. Certainly not a deal breaker but the information may be handy for planning purposes. Upon arrival we took a shuttle to the nearby Safeway and ski rental shop. The condo is conveniently located close to everything...including the hot tub just one flight down. We also enjoyed the close proximity to dining and bars which came in handy after a day of skiing. Other notable points: Nearby ski locker made life so much easier at the end of the day. View from balcony is amazing! True ski in-walk out. There are several sets of stairs leading to the slopes and by day three we had a system in place: take skis out ahead of time so you don’t have to carry them down the stairs while wearing awkward ski boots. Hot water for showers never ran out and plenty of towels were included. Queen sized bed was comfortable (a little soft for me but perfect for my husband). WiFi and dish service never failed....even in the midst of a heavy snow fall. This was out first visit to Steamboat but will likely not be our last. Thank you Ali and Rich for offering a warm “home” at a reasonable price!

Far better than a hotel room
We stayed for a 3 night get-away from Denver, and this unit successfully hit many undertones that we enjoy in a condo rental. 1st and foremost, it was impeccably clean, which is our number one desire. That includes nooks and crannies, floorboards, cabinets, shower, etc. I never noticed any overlooked corners or anything where dirt or cobwebs were built up, which I'm a bit OCD about. I'm not sure if the Management company keeps it that well, or if the owners swing by now and again for detail cleaning, but its working. 2nd, I can tell that many units in Steamboat get very hot in the summer, because they don't have A/C. It was 95 each day we were there, so this could have been an issue. Although there is no A/C (few have that) this unit stayed comfortably cool throughout the day because of its location in the building. Opening the window and door with the ceiling fan on at night cooled it off even more as soon as the sun was down, so it was quite comfortable for sleeping. Other pros: - Balcony was comfortable, with reasonable privacy - Management company was easy to reach and seemed effective - Walk to gondola square was pleasant, the stream setup at the gondola area was pretty relaxing at the end of the day. - Quiet location (although that largely depends on who's in adjacent units at the time) - Good furniture - Comfortable bed, and pull-out bed was reasonable (I've seen some awful ones) To balance it out, here are a few cons that we felt were insignificant all said and done: - There were a few setup oversights at the start, but the Management company took care of them fairly quickly. They were responsive and professional. - Parking may be an issue at times. The lot seems fairly small for this building. I wasn't aware of any other place to park if the lot were full, although perhaps there is one. Overall, this was a fine and comfortable condo unit with a mountain feel, and was a GREAT value. The price is comparable to a double queen hotel room. This is much, much better than that! Thanks for a great stay!

Be treated like a friend of the family
My wife and I and our adult daughter stayed here for a week just prior to Christmas. Great Ski In and Walk Out Condo. Literally a 3 minute walk to the lift. Beautifully appointed condo that completely captures the rustic charm of Steamboat when it was a frontier town. We cooked several nights and as the family chef, I have high kitchen expectations. I was not disappointed. Condo, dishes, linens, towels were super clean and not shopworn. We had a couple of VERY MINOR maintenance issues and Rich and Ali got onsite management over to fix it quickly when they were informed. Pro Tip - if you have any problems with issues, or the management company, let Rich and Ali know right away. TV's worked great, and we loved having DVDs to watch! We loved the condo and will definitely stay there again. Thanks Rich and Ali for treating us like family.

Great condo!
My husband and I took our two boys (10 and 6) to ski in Steamboat and stayed in this lovely condo. The condo was great for our needs. The walk to the slopes isn’t too far and you can ski in right to the stairs. The owner’s are super responsive to any questions and extremely helpful! Steamboat was amazing and we plan to return again soon!

First rental
This was our first time to use VRBO and your place has set a high standard. Nice place with everything we needed, convenient location. Liked the cowboy theme, and we made a stop at the family store downtown to pick up some cowboy boots for our grandson and some other unique gift items. Expect to be back often to see our daughter and family so expect to see us back again.
We love people, so feel free to call during normal business hours.
